How would someone go about becoming a member at your Clubhouse?
The individual must have a referral application filled out by their psychiatrist or therapist. Then you need to go through a pre-orientation to see if you match the Clubhouse and the Clubhouse matches you. After you attend pre-orientation and the Clubhouse is a good match for you then you will go through a two-day orientation process.
 

History:
Clubhouse of Lehigh County opened in February of 1999 under the collaborative effort of three area organizations. It was restructured in 2000 and reopened under the auspices of Good Shepherd Work Services in April 2000. In July of 2012 we became part of Goodwill Keystone Area. We moved into our current residence at 1437 Gordon Street, Allentown, PA in January 2001. Our membership has grown to 1149 with an average daily attendance of 35 to 40.

About Our Clubhouse:
Our Clubhouse has three units. The units run and take care of the daily duties of working the Clubhouse. Our three units are Culinary, Services and Support. The Culinary unit runs the kitchen. They prepare lunch everyday, order the food, run the snack bar, plan the menu, and clean the kitchen and pantry. The Services unit is responsible for communications, data management, education and employment, producing a monthly newsletter and other printed materials, clerical work, data entry, power point and video productions and member data. The Support unit takes care of the front desk, maintenance cleaning the inside and outside of the Clubhouse, care for the plants, and give house tours. Our building with wide-open spaces and plants set in large windows, offers a bright and welcoming environment for members and guests.
