How would someone go about becoming a member at your Clubhouse?
If a person chooses to apply for clubhouse membership, a PAPC Referral Form and Psychiatric Evaluation must first be submitted by a member of their Treatment Team (Therapist, Service coordinator). Upon receipt of a completed referral form, he/she will be contacted by a clubhouse staff to set up a tour. After the tour has taken place, a formal intake will be scheduled.

History:
Penn Avenue Place Clubhouse, formerly called Liberty Place Clubhouse, has been an ICCD accredited clubhouse since 1998. In 2011, we moved to a new and much improved space on Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District.

About Our Clubhouse:
PAPC is open to adults who are in recovery from major mental illnesses. The Penn Avenue Place Clubhouse, which is based on the work-ordered day, is a place where members choose to work in a community setting to develop pre-vocational skills and healthy relationships.

All clubhouse members have the opportunity to gain Transitional (6-9 months) or Supported (permanent) Employment at local businesses where they are trained and supported by clubhouse staff. Members working in Independent Employment Positions use the clubhouse as a place to socialize and receive support on their days off from work.

The Penn Avenue Place Clubhouse, which is open five days a week from 9-5, also offers two Saturday activities each month, one social or activity each week and we’re open on all major holidays.
